Wooden blocks are made of seasoned Sagwaan wood. The design of the block is created on a piece of paper. This design is further transferred to the wood for carving. Tiny iron chisels of various sizes are used for carving the design. A separate block is needed for each colour in the final design. The second colour blocks are “datta” or “Daatla” and the third block is called the “Gad”.
