These are rugs made of flat weaves, with no pile and no backing. They are woven so as to be light and durable. Often made from cotton, wool, jute or silk, they are thin and come to good use as mats, bedcovers or decorative throws. The Salawas area on the outskirts of Jodhpur is renowned for its Durries.
