LEATHER EMBROIDERY

Leather embroidery is one of the most famous crafts of Jodhpur. The local leather is embellished
to make bags, footwear (called mojaris), dairy cases, wallets and such everyday goods. Perhaps the most distinct are the leather mojaris - entirely handcrafted and measured in fingers, differently styled for men and women. Typically the body of the mojari is built by men while women embroider and ornament them. Exquisite results are achieved
with simple tools.
